Google have started penalizing websites with deceptive download buttons that lead users into various troubles. Almost every browser would have landed on such sites that have been hosted for different purposes, some might have ended up downloading malwares, adwares and viruses on to their computers by accessing such websites. There is finally good news with Google taking actions on such websites.

Users who are being led to such websites when they click on links that don’t look suspicious, will now have a warning screen flashing in their computer that would tell them about them suspicious webpage and prevent them from entering it. They would not be able to proceed any further and would only have the option to track back to the previous page that led them to the suspicious page.

This is not something new but as already existed as Safe Browsing features for quite a while now, and it’s now being expanded to protect users from accessing these download websites that can cause more harm than good to the computers accessing such web pages. There are many things that can be intended with the use of such dubious download buttons including ways to access private information from the computers that might have accidentally installed programs by clicking on those download buttons.

The warning screen will look like the following that has often been seen before where safe browsing option prevents people from accessing suspicious websites.
