When it comes to factors affecting SEO, Design. User Experience and On Site Optimization come into play. We will look into some factors that have a greater influence than others.

Title Tag

All modern browsers use tab features these days. Earlier when websites were open on different windows the full title of the page used to show on the top of the browser, with the tab feature its not the case anymore. But that does not reduce the importance of Title tags. The following points are important when setting a title for a page

  • Unique title that clearly specifies what the page is about.
  • Helps search engines understand nature of the page.
  • 50 – 60 is the average title tag length.

H1 tags

H1 tags are another important factor for a page. Search engines understand the nature of the page by getting the information on these h1 tags. It is also helpful for the users to have a quick glimpse and understand what the page is about. Unique and well researched h1 tags are sure to grasp the attention of the viewers and increases the possibility of them spending time on the page going through other details, thereby reducing the bounce rate on the pages.

User Experience (UX) Design

Design is the visual representation of what a site is about. The first and foremost factor that appeals to the audience is the design of a website. It has first real impact on a viewer before they move on to the content of the page they are viewing, which is why design plays a major role in user experience. A design matching the latest trends with user friendly features that helps visitors navigate with absolute ease through the website to find what they are looking for increases the amount of time they spend on your website. It also decreases the bounce rate which influences Google to a large extent in ranking the website better.
