With the emergence of mobile apps as the front runner in day to day activities, the future demands the needs for SEO to extend their focus in ranking these mobile apps too.

Google have started to make some strides towards this direction with the recent announcement of Google Now on Tap.

Google are making the “Google Now” feature in existing Android devices more user friendly by helping users invoke Google Now by tapping and holding the home button icon on the mobile. Google now is also said to understand over 100 million places now. It will help users with an opportunity to have greater visibility of the mobile apps that are already installed and the ones yet to be installed. This latest feature will be implemented Android M that will be released in the future. Google now will be list the mobile apps and all their details just like how Google Search work in listing the website. The future will involve optimizing mobile apps to have greater visibility on “Google Now”

Mobile apps are required to do app indexing, which allows search engines to index your apps through deep linking. It is to be noted that app indexing will require app content to have their corresponding web page.
