Few Amazing Improvements
Chip
Chip is the heart and brain of any digital system. The A5 processor has been replaced with a A5X processor which means even higher performance and lower power consumption.
Display
iPad always had an amazing pixel resolution. How about replacing an already awesome resolution of 1024-by-768 132 pixel per inch with an 2048-by-1536 264 pixel per inch resolution? Don’t drop your jaws so soon. This is just one amazing improvement.
Camera
We all know that cameras and Apple products were not always made for each other. Well the new iPad has an exception with a 5 megapixel auto-focus full HD 1080p camera compared to its older 720p camera.
The New iPad supports 4G
Whatever that means, its one G extra. In practical sense, it means it can accommodate faster streaming. For a product to be 4G qualified, it should support a peak speed of 100 Mbits for higher mobility communication and at low mobility such as while being stationary it should support 1 Gbit/s. This would mean the new iPad is one of the few firsts to be tagged a 4G. 4G is currently supported by At&T and Verizon.
Dimensions
With all its loaded upgrades, the new iPad is just 50 g heavier and 0.8 mm thicker.
Apps
ILife and iWork is now on iPad enabling all iLife products now on iPad.
With the new iPad in store, Apple has cut its older version prices by $100 and the new model is sold at the same price of $499. The new iPad would soon be hitting Indian stores. The iPad would be available in Apple Retail Stores by March 16th. Indian stores have already started slashing prices on iPad 2. Speaking to an Apple PR we found out that the price slash is almost immediate and the new iPad will be seen in couple of weeks in Indian Apple Stores.
